What is The Pitch Doctor?

A tool that turns a topic and a target broadcaster into a broadcast-ready treatment in about twelve minutes. It encodes the editorial expectations of 98 international broadcasters — ARTE, ZDF, BBC, PBS, Netflix, NHK and more — into queryable format profiles.

Ten AI research agents handle research, story development, fact-checking, expert identification, and format-compliant writing. Anti-hallucination rules and a two-source minimum are enforced at the prompt level.

skills library.

Open source · Apache 2.0 · 229 skills today

What does the free skills library do?

229 ready-to-use AI prompts for media work. Pick a skill, paste it into Claude, get broadcast-ready output: treatments, research briefs, show notes, scene breakdowns, fact-checks, pitch letters.

Coverage spans 11 formats: TV documentary, magazine journalism, YouTube creators, podcast producers, radio & audio, TV screenwriting, newsletter writers, PR & comms, data journalism, image prompting, and social media.

Do I need an API key?

You need access to Claude — either claude.ai (free or paid) or the Anthropic API. The skills are prompts. You copy them into your Claude session and run. autopunk does not host the inference.

Is everything actually free?

Yes. The library is open source under Apache 2.0. No sign-up, no paywall, no premium tier hiding anything.

How often do new skills ship?

Roughly monthly. Watch the GitHub repo for new drops.

about autopunk.

Practitioner-built. Not a startup deck.

How is autopunk different from generic AI tools?

We build for media work specifically. Generic AI treats every task the same. Media work has specific rhythms, formats, and editorial accountability — and we don't try to replace the practitioner. We make the workflow faster on tasks that already exist.

More on that on the about page.

Is autopunk a company or an individual?

autopunk is the brand. We build practical AI tools for media work — treatments, research, show notes, and broadcast-compliant writing.
